There is little doubt that back in the 1950's being a fighter pilot was seen as being amongst the most glamorous occupations. These 'knights of the sky' were on a par with modern day pop idols or film stars. To some extent this kudos continues even to this day. However, it was then also one of the most dangerous occupations with many RAF aircrew killed each year due simply to accidents and mechanical equipment failures.No punches are pulled in this book, with much of the text containing detailed and explicit descriptions of flying, some intense sexual activity and the psychological confusion which can arise from falling in love. The story is based on the actual experiences of a real person who lived through these events.
